Jozef Gruska

Jozef Gruska (* 1933 ) is a Slovak computer scientist .

Gruska received her doctorate from the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava . He is a professor at Masaryk University in Brno .

Gruska is the founder and headed the IFIP Working Group on theoretical computer science from 1989 to 1996 .

In the 2000s he was particularly concerned with quantum computer science and organized a number of Asian conferences on this topic.

He is a member of the Academia Europaea .

In 1996 he received the Computer Pioneer Award and in 2003 he received the Bolzano Medal of the Czech Academy of Sciences and the silver medal of the IFIP.
