The Nihon Noyaku KK ( Jap. 日本農薬株式会社 , Nihon Noyaku Kabushiki-gaisha , literally "Japanese agrochemical AG", Eng. Nihon Nohyaku Co., Ltd. ) is a manufacturer of pesticides and part of the Furukawa Group . Nihon Nōyaku was a world leader in insecticide research. The Nihon Tokushu Noyaku Seizo company , which discovered Imidacloprid , is now part of Bayer AG as Nippon Bayer .
history
In the 1920s, Furukawa Electric developed a manufacturing process for lead arsenate as a by-product of copper extraction, which was the first modern plant protection product to be approved in Japan. In 1928, the agrochemical divisions of Asahi Denka Kogyo KK merged. and Fujii Seiyaku Co., Ltd. to Nihon Nohyaku.
