Juan Ángel Arias
Juan Ángel Arias (* 1800 in Goascorán, Valle ; † March 1842 in Quelapa, near Tegucigalpa ) was Supremo Director of Honduras from December 24, 1829 to April 22, 1830 .
On December 24, 1829, Juan Ángel Arias was taken over by José Francisco Morazán Quezadas . After Morazán's suppression of the insurgents, Arias had the reports on the Pacificación de Olancho , the agreements of the parties to the dispute and the defeat of the insurgents in the civil war published. The Supremo Director opened the first primary school in Yoro.
Juan Ángel Arias married Juana López. The politician was murdered in Quelapa, near Tegucigalpa, in March 1842. His son was Carlos Céleo Arias López .
