Juan Carlos Mareco
Juan Carlos Mareco , pseudonym Pinocho (born January 20, 1926 in Carmelo , † October 8, 2009 in Buenos Aires ) was a Uruguayan actor, singer, composer, poet and writer.
Life
Juan Carlos Mareco worked in various films in the 1950s and 1960s. For example, he was present on the screen in Adolfo Fabregat's "Detective a contramano" in 1949 and Lucas Demare's "La cigarra está que arde" in 1967 . He also lent his voice to the character Topo Gigio . This was one of his most significant roles in his career. Mareco, who lived in Spain from 1962 to 1965 and worked there for Televisión Española , also appeared extensively on Argentine television. Mareco performed the programs "El Show de Pinocho", "Gran Hotel Panamá" and "La noche con amigos". He was also seen on television in "Kenya Sharp Club" and "Cordialmente". Mareco was also the singer of the Jazz Casino Orquesta , directed by Tito Alberti , where he recorded two records and appeared as a musical composer. "A una novia" is one of his most important pieces in this context. He was also active as a writer and wrote the book "Y tengo una ilusión". In the course of his career he was awarded the Premio Martín Fierro eight times . He received four of these prizes as joint prizes with other artists. The awards in 1967, 1968, 1971 and 1972 were individual in nature.
Mareco was initially married to Mariquita Gallegos . This marriage ended in divorce. From 1988 until his death he was married to Elena Luisa Galtieri.
