Juan Escobar (musician)
Juan Esteban Escobar Campillay is a doom metal singer and musician born in Iquique , Chile .
Career
In the 2000s, Escobar got involved in various metal bands. The multi-instrumentalist and singer achieved his first international popularity with the death-doom band Mar De Grises, founded in Santiago de Chile . After a stay in Great Britain, he took part in the international funeral doom projects Arrant Saudade and Aphonic Threnody . He also maintains the Melodic Death Doom and Epic Doom solo project AstorVoltaires . He works as a singer, keyboardist, drummer, bassist, guitarist, producer and sound engineer in the various bands of the Doom Metal spectrum. He worked repeatedly with Kostas Panagiotou from Pantheist and Riccardo Veronese from Gallow God .
