Juan Gardeazábal
Juan Gardeazábal Garay (born November 27, 1933 in Bilbao , † December 21, 1969 in Madrid ) was a Spanish football referee. He came in the world championship tournaments in 1958 , 1962 and 1966 to a total of seven appearances in final games. At the age of 24 he was the youngest World Cup referee in the history of the tournament when he first played in the group match between France and Paraguay on June 8, 1958. In 1967 he also headed the first leg of the World Cup .
