Juan Pedro Cotillo Fernández
Juan Pedro Cotillo Fernández OMI (born May 1, 1914 in Siero de la Reina , † July 24, 1936 in Pozuelo , Madrid ) was a Spanish Oblate of the Immaculate Virgin Mary .
As a theology student he lived in the Oblate Study House in Pozuelo. On July 22, 1936, during the Spanish Civil War , he and his confreres were taken prisoner in their own monastery, and on July 24, 1936, he was executed along with six other Oblates .
The beatification of the 22 Spanish martyrs of the Oblates, including Juan Pedro Cotillo Fernández, took place on December 17, 2011 in the Cathedral of Madrid.
