Juan Riephoff , full name Juan Pedro Riephoff , is a former Uruguayan football player .

Career

Offensive player Riephoff was initially in the ranks of the Rampla Juniors in the Primera División in 1941 . In 1942 he completed 27 first division games for the Argentine club Chacarita Juniors and scored five goals. In 1943 he played again for the Rampla Juniors. This was followed in 1944 by a stint at Club Atlético Peñarol , which became Uruguayan champion that year. Riephoff is not mentioned in the Montevidean regular team that year. From 1945 to 1947 he was active again for the first division team of the Rampla Juniors. He was then again a member of the Peñarol squad from 1948 to 1951. During this period in 1949 and 1951 the "Aurinegros" again won the state championship. With the exception of the 1949 season, Riephoff is performed as a left half- forward in the regular Peñarols, where he shared operating times with Juan Schiaffino in 1951 in this position .

National team

Riephoff was a member of the senior national team of Uruguay , for which he completed 21 internationals from July 18, 1940 until his last appearance on April 4, 1948. He scored four international goals. He was part of the Uruguayan squad at the South American Championships in 1941 , 1945 , 1946 and 1947 . He also took part with Uruguay in the Copa Hector Gomez 1940, the Copa Lipton 1945, the Copa Newton 1945 and the Copa Río Branco 1946.
