Venues in Argentina in 1946

The Campeonato Sudamericano of 1946 was the 19th game of the South American continental championship in football and took place from January 12 to February 10 for the sixth time in Argentina. Ecuador , Colombia and Peru did not participate in the Copa América this year.

The tournament was played as before in the league system (everyone against everyone). If there was a tie in first place, a playoff was planned. The venues were Buenos Aires with the Estadio Monumental in the Belgrano district and the Estadio Gasómetro in the Boedo district and Avellaneda with the Estadio Libertadores de América . With three exceptions, two games took place in double events in the respective stadium on one day.

Argentina became South American champions for the eighth time.
