Eusebio Tejera , full name Eusebio Ramón Tejera Kirkerup , (born January 6, 1922 , † November 9 or November 10, 2002 in Montevideo ) was a Uruguayan football player .
Career
society
The 1.80 meter tall defender called El Cato , who was mainly used as a left or central defender, began his football career at Bella Vista . In 1944 and 1945 he played for River Plate Montevideo . He found the sporting climax of his career from 1945 to 1950 with the Montevidean club Nacional , with which he was Uruguayan national champion in 1946, 1947 and 1950. He played 155 games at the Bolsos , in which he was also able to score a goal. He then worked for Cúcuta Deportivo and ended his career with the Uruguayan club Defensor .
National team
Tejera was also a member of his home country's national team and took part in the 1950 World Cup with her . In this tournament he won the world title with her. At the Football World Cup in 1954 , he was also in the Uruguayan squad. He also took part in the Copa America , the South American Championships in 1945 , 1946 and 1947 as a national player for Uruguay. He was also involved in two Copa Río Branco titles .
