Víctor Pablo Rodríguez Andrade (born May 2, 1927 in Montevideo , Uruguay , † May 19, 1985 ibid) was a Uruguayan football player .

Career

society

Born in the Barrio Sur of Montevideo, the nephew of the 1930 world champion, José Leandro Andrade , initially played for Central , which at the time was still called Central Fútbol Club . In 1952 he moved to Peñarol , where he replaced Washington Ortuño , his substitute at the 1950 World Cup, after his sudden career ended . With the Aurinegros he was two Uruguayan national champions (1953 and 1954).

National team

Andrade completed from his debut on December 2, 1947 to his last appearance for the Celeste on June 5, 1957 42 internationals for the national team of his home country called Celeste . In March 2007, a street, the Pasaje Víctor Rodríguez Andrade in the Barrio Sur district of Montevide, was named after him in honor of Andrades .
