Juan López , full name Juan López Fontana , (born March 15, 1908 , † April 15, 1984 ) was a Uruguayan football coach .

On December 2, 1947, López made his debut as part of the South American Championship that year in the office of coach of the Uruguayan national soccer team and also supervised them at the 1950 World Cup . There he won the world championship title with her and also sat on the bench in his country as the responsible trainer at the 1954 World Cup . Assistant Dr. Vázquez .

At least at the South American Championships in 1957 and at the four World Cup qualifiers between June 16 and July 28, 1957, he was again Uruguayan national coach. He was then responsible for the Ecuadorian national soccer team from 1959 to 1960 . At the 1962 World Cup , he and Hugo Bagnulo formed the coaching trio around national coach Roberto Scarone that looked after the Uruguayan national team. In the 1: 3 defeat on December 4, 1965 in the friendly against the selection of the USSR, he was again responsible as national coach of Uruguay.
