Rodolfo Pini (born November 12, 1926 - May 31, 2000 ) was a Uruguayan football player .

society

The midfielder joined the Montevidean big club Nacional in 1940 , whose squad still belonged to the 1950s. As early as 1940 he was used in the Primera División in the playoff for the championship of 1939 against Club Atlético Peñarol . With the Bolsos he won the Uruguayan championship at least in 1939, 1940, 1942, 1943, 1947 and 1950. In total, he completed 160 games for Nacional. From 1951 to 1952 he was in the ranks of the Rampla Juniors .

National team

Pini was a member of the Uruguayan national soccer team , took part with her in the soccer world championship in 1950 and became world champion. However, he was not used during the tournament. He also participated in the Copa Río Branco in 1945, 1946, 1947 and 1950. Pini completed a total of seven international matches in the period from May 17, 1944 to May 18, 1950, in which he scored two goals.

Coaching

After his active career, Pini also worked as a trainer for the Rampla Juniors.
