Roberto Fleitas (* 1933 or 1934) is a former Uruguayan football player and coach .

Career

Fleitas played in the position of defender at Liverpool Montevideo .

Fleitas, who then embarked on the coaching career, was at least during the relegation round in January 1983 coach at his former club Liverpool Montevideo. He also coached Central Español in 1983 and led the club's team to the second division championship and the associated promotion to the Primera División . In 1985 he won the Torneo Competencia with the Club Atlético Progreso . From 1987 to 1988 he was the coach of the Uruguayan national soccer team and coached them at the Copa America in 1987 when Uruguay secured the title. He also coached Nacional Montevideo , with whom he won the Copa Libertadores and the World Cup in 1988 . In 1990 he was a coach at Club Atlético Peñarol . In 1992 he worked again for Nacional Montevideo and won the Uruguayan championship title with the Bolsos . A coaching station at the La Luz Fútbol Club is also listed. On October 13, 1993 he was in the 5-0 away defeat in Karlsruhe against Germany again as the national coach responsible for a game on Uruguayan bench.
