Gustavo Ferrín (born May 1, 1959 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football coach .

Ferrín was initially from 1995 to 2001 coach in the youth division of Defensor Sporting . In 2002 he took over the U-20s of the Uruguayan national soccer team , which he was in charge of until 2007. During the years 2002 and 2004 to 2005 he was also responsible for the U-16s and U-17s. In 2006 he was also temporarily responsible for the senior national team as an interim coach. In 2008 he took on the role of general coordinator at the Argentine club Arsenal. In 2009 he was the coach of the Peruvian club Sport Áncash . He then took on the position of coach at Defensor Sporting in the Primera División from 2009 to 2010 . From April 2010 until July 2012 he was in charge of Peru's U-20s . On July 9, 2012, Ferrín was introduced to succeed Lito Vidigal as the new national coach of the Angolan national team, who should replace the previous interim coach Romeu Filemon for the first time in the encounter on August 15, 2012 against Mozambique's selection on the sidelines. He signed a two-year contract. After Angola's national team had already missed qualification for the Africa Cup of 2014 and they failed to qualify for the 2014 World Cup due to just one victory in the six group games, Ferrín was released in October 2013, almost a year before the end of the contract. On January 4, 2016, he was signed by the Uruguayan first division club Atlético Cerro to succeed Eduardo Acevedo . His coaching team consisted of assistant coach Mario Carvallo and Gustavo Bañales as a so-called preparador físico . He coached the club's team until June 2016.
