Luis Prais , full name Luis Prais Bernardo , (born February 24, 1925 in Montevideo , † January 2, 2005 ) was a Uruguayan football player and coach.
Player career
society
Defensive player Prais, who was used in the position of the left half , belonged to the squad of Club Atlético Peñarol in the Primera División from 1944 to 1948 . In the seasons 1944 and 1945 his club won the Uruguayan championship. Some of it is still listed there in 1949. However, he is not mentioned in the line-up of that year. In 1949 he moved to Spain for FC Barcelona . In the 1949/50 season he only played one first division game (no goal) on November 20, 1949 against Celta Vigo , otherwise only played in the reserve team of the Spanish club and also came for the first team in the 4-7 defeat against the FC Valencia used in the Copa Eva Duarte . He ended his career at the age of 25.
National team
Prais was a member of the senior national team of Uruguay , for which he completed four international matches from January 5, 1946 until his last appearance on January 23, 1946. He did not score an international goal. Other sources lead for Prais five international appearances in 1946. He was part of the Uruguayan squad at the 1946 South American Championship . He also took part in the 1946 Copa Rio Branco with Uruguay .

In 1980 he had a brief engagement as a coach at Peñarol.
