Juanita du Plessis

Juanita (* 26. April 1972 as Juanita Naudé in Windhoek , South West Africa ), whose real name is Juanita du Plessis , one in South Africa living Namibian musician and music producer. She sings exclusively to Afrikaans Schlager and pop music and, along with Kurt Darren, is considered the best-known Afrikaans-speaking artist.

Career

Since the beginning of her career in 1998, Juanita's albums and singles have achieved numerous first places in the charts and double platinum status in South Africa and Namibia. Her husband Doepie is also her manager. Juanita releases under her own music label "Juanita Records" and is distributed by WOW Music Distribution.

Juanita sold more than a million albums from 1998 to 2008. She gave her biggest concert in front of 72,000 people as part of the Loftus for Jesus 2008 in Johannesburg and in her home town of Windhoek on October 16, 2010 in front of 13,500 spectators as part of the Hart van Windhoek festival .
