Jude Milhon
Jude Milhon (March 12, 1939 - July 19, 2003 ), better known by her pseudonym St. Jude , was a hacker and writer in the San Francisco Bay Area.
She coined the term Cypherpunk and was a founding member of the Cypherpunks. Another term she was coined in Cleveland in 1962 is hippie . In 1976 she began programming and writing software for the Horn and Hardart Company. Among the projects she worked on was the Berkeley Operating System and the Community Memory (see web link). She was a member of Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility and author of several books, as well as managing editor of Mondo 2000 magazine and a permanent contributor to the famous Boing Boing blog . Milhon died of cancer.
