Judith McGrath
Judith Ann McGrath (born July 15, 1952 in Scranton , Pennsylvania ) is an American media manager. She is the CEO of MTV Networks of Viacom .
Life
McGrath studied English literature at Cedar Crest College and moved to New York in 1978. At first she wrote stories for Mademoiselle there , later she switched to glamor as a columnist . Shortly after MTV was founded in 1981, she was hired as an author for promotional texts. In 1991 she was responsible for programming, music, promotion and production at MTV. She was appointed CEO on July 20, 2004. She is u. a. responsible for MTV, MTV2 , VH-1 , Comedy Central and Nickelodeon .
