Rödinghausen youth hostel
The youth hostel Rödinghausen is the youth hostel of the Herford district in Rödinghausen in East Westphalia .
The youth guest house is located on the south side of the Wiehengebirge below the Nonnenstein mountain , near the Gehle nature reserve and above the village center of the Rödinghausen climatic health resort at an altitude of around 205 m above sea level. NN . The youth guest house not only offers its guests an ideal starting point for extensive hikes and numerous excursion destinations in the vicinity, but also, in addition to sports and fitness facilities, the opportunity to rest and relax. School classes, youth camps and sports groups can be found as well as families and individual guests.
The youth guest house has a total of 126 beds in 31 rooms for guests. The majority of the rooms have their own bathroom with shower and toilet. The varied and diverse equipment offers a multi-purpose sports hall, a mini golf course, an artificial turf sports field, a playground and a campfire area with barbecue area, as well as foosball tables, ping-pong tables and a photo box for memories to take away. history
In the first half of 2016, an emergency shelter for refugees was set up there, which the Herford district had been operating in administrative assistance for the state of North Rhine-Westphalia since September 2015.
In the summer of 2016, the youth hostel was extensively renovated and since September 2016 normal accommodation for families, school classes, youth camps and sports groups has been resumed.
