The Gehle nature reserve is part of the Eggetal valley in the far northwest of the Rödinghausen municipality in the Herford district . The area with the number HF-018 has a size of about 35.9 hectares. Its western border is also the border with the state of Lower Saxony .

Flora and fauna

The area protects a northern slope of the Wiehengebirge with mixed forest , which is traversed by several rivulets and small stream valleys.
