content

The first title In die Schlacht is thematically about the fight, the remaining songs then sing about pagan themes. The band itself indicates that the common thread that on the disc Yule and "the mentioned songs [...] themes [deal] that are part of the Yule" and "the Julenzeit [...] the entire period of the winter solstice to the end the Rauhnächte [includes] ”. Bragarful revolves around the holy cup (or horn) of the same name, which was passed around at festivals to please the gods for a happy new year. According to the band, this drinking ritual is an integral part in honor of the gods at the Yule Festival. The hope for a new and better year is also shown in the song Rauhnächte , where the points of the compass are given salvation and the god Donar is invoked, his people to protect with the hammer also in the new year.

The last song Liodhahattr is lyrically not a creation of the band. The short alliance comes from the Edda , precisely from the Völuspá , the first book of the older Edda.

style

On the EP there is now much more clear vocals, the influences from the Black Metal area have - compared to the earlier releases - now significantly less, but there are some from the Heavy Metal area.
