content
Thematically, the texts deal with the Germanic prehistoric times and the Nordic gods. The song "Fenrir" z. B. from the liberation of the wolf Fenrir and the end of the world Ragnarök , "Walhalla's gates" from warrior death and entanglement , which will defend the gates to Wotan's hall at a certain time. The liberation of Germania from the Romans is described in "Teuton Dance" .
In contrast to other bands from the field of Pagan Metal there are no clear or aggressive anti-Christian elements on the album, even if in “Des Krieger's Traum” there is a passage with the wording “a cry from my throat - I saw the sign of their god / the first riders fell - under the targeted blows of my blade ”occurs. On the back of the booklet, however, the neo-pagan symbol eagle catches fish is printed, which illustrates the rejection of Christianity.
Musical aspects
The band itself describes the style of the album on the back of the booklet as "Heidnischer Thuringian Metal". In contrast to the demo recordings, which were still dark metal with a slight black metal influence , the album now corresponds to typical pagan metal , with influences from the black metal area as well as from the folklore area .
The lyrics are reproduced by growling , but different voices are used. With some songs, however, the singing is difficult to understand because of the dominant music.
