The JULA Festival is organized by the Association of Russian- Speaking Youth in Germany JunOst eV . JunOst eV has existed since 2001 and is a nationwide association with 18 youth clubs in different cities in Germany. Some of JunOst's youth clubs focus on theater and music. On this basis, a number of youth theater groups and music bands were founded, including in Munich. On the other hand, in view of the numerous inquiries from theater groups from Eastern Europe, the need for a festival as a meeting point for theater and music groups has arisen. As a result, the junior club JunOst Munich initiated the JULA festival.
