Jules Caffot
Jules Caffot (born September 22, 1865 in Porrentruy , Switzerland , † August 30, 1942 in Mantes-la-Jolie , France ) was a French organist and composer.
Caffot studied from 1883 at the École Niedermeyer . From 1889 until his death in 1942 he was organist at the Collégiale Notre Dame church in Mantes. He composed a. a. a mass and the Vercingétorix opera . His son Sylvère Caffot became known as a film music composer under the name René Sylviano .
