Jules Léo Sagot (born September 21, 1989 in Geffosses , Coutances ) is a French film and theater actor .

Life

Sagot was born in Geffosses , in the Arrondissement of Coutances in France. Sagot developed his interest in theater at the age of 8 when he attended the École Jules Verne in Coutances and noticed that he had little interest in music. After a failed attempt to study at the Lycée Molière in Paris, Sagot left the city of Coutances and began work on a ferry pier in Embrun . At the age of 17, Sagot moved to Paris to study at a theater school in the 5th arrondissement . Here Sagot got engagements at the Théâtre la Bruyere and at the Cartoucherie, later also in Lorient and Lyon .

In 2012 Sagot got the lead role in the film Tu seras un homme . In it he plays Théodore, who is employed as a minder for little Léonard. For his work on the film, Sagot was awarded the Agave Award in 2013 at the Oaxaca Film Fest in Mexico . Stefan Butzmühlen , who actually wanted to rely exclusively on amateur actors for his 2016 film Lichtes Meer , discovered Sagot after a long search at a street casting in front of the Berlinische Galerie, without knowing that Sagot was an actor. From Butzmühlen Sagot got the leading role of the young sailor Jean in the film.
