Jules Van Keirsbilck
Jules Van Keirsbilck (born December 12, 1833 in Ghent , † November 10, 1896 in Schaerbeek ) was a Belgian portrait, genre and history painter as well as etcher and art teacher.
Van Keirsbilck studied at the Académie royale des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles with François-Joseph Navez and Albert Roberti (1811–1864). He then became a student of Louis Gallait (1810-1887). He worked with him and made copies for him from 1851. In 1866 he was appointed professor at the Brussels Academy.
