Career

society

Julián Carranza , born in Oncativo , Córdoba , comes from the junior division of CA Banfield and was promoted to the first team for the 2017/18 season. On November 24, 2017 (10th match day) he made his debut in the 0-1 home defeat against CSD Defensa y Justicia in the top Argentine division when he came on for Michael López in the 56th minute of the game . Two weeks later he scored his first league goal in a 3-2 home defeat against the Argentinos Juniors . He then established himself as a regular starter and on May 8, 2018 (26th matchday), he scored twice in the 2-1 home win against the Chacarita Juniors . In total, he completed 14 league games in this season, in which he scored four goals. In the following 2018/19 season, he had to take a two-month break at the start of the season due to a knee injury and only scored three goals in 15 league appearances.

On July 26, 2019 Carranza moved for a transfer fee of 5.4 million euros for the new MLS - Franchise Inter Miami . By January 2020, however, he was immediately loaned back to CA Banfield in order to gain gaming experience there until Inter enters the league. He played 11 league games for the Taladro until the turn of the year and scored two goals in those games. He joined Inter Miami on January 1, 2020, but missed the start of the season due to a foot injury, which is why he was not used in a league game until the forced break due to the COVID-19 pandemic .

National team

With the Argentine U17 national team , he took part in the U17 South American Championship 2017 in Chile , where he was used in two games.

He has been the Argentine U23 international since September 2019 .
