Julia Goldani Telles

Julia Goldani Telles (born March 18, 1995 in Los Angeles , California , United States) is an American actress and ballet dancer . Her best-known roles in German-speaking countries are that of "Whitney Solloway" in the series The Affair and that of "Sasha Torres" in New in Paradise (Bunheads) .

Life

Goldani Telles was born in Los Angeles , California to a Brazilian woman and a Mexican-American father. When she was just under two years old, she moved with her parents to Rio de Janeiro, where she began dancing ballet at the age of five. Shortly afterwards, however, the family moved back to the USA, first to Los Angeles. So far, she has only mastered the Portuguese language. She later moved to New York City, where she attended the Professional Children's School in Manhattan and trained as a ballet dancer at the School of American Ballet and the Ballet Academy East. She has appeared as an actress since 2012.
