Julia Onken

Julia Onken (born May 1, 1942 in Münsterlingen ) is a Swiss author and founder of the women's seminar on Lake Constance in Romanshorn .

Life

Julia Onken first did an apprenticeship as a papeterist and then worked as a buyer in a stationery store. When her second daughter started kindergarten, she began studying at the Academy for Applied Psychology in Zurich and continued her education in person-centered conversation psychotherapy and analytical couples therapy. After graduation, she worked in prison and probation service, as a lecturer in adult education and opened her own psychotherapeutic practice. After her divorce, she founded the women's seminar on Lake Constance (FSB) in 1987. In 1998 she founded the association “Education Fund for Women”, which she has been president since then. She has been a writer since 1987, and numerous translations of her non-fiction books and guides are available. Her daughter Maya Onken is also a writer.
