Julia Svan (born February 20, 1993 ) is a Swedish cross-country skier .

Career

Svan competed in the Scandinavian Cup for the first time in January 2013 and later that month became Junior World Champion in Liberec with the Swedish relay . In February 2013 she was fifth in the sprint in Jõulumäe , placing her for the first time in the top 5 at the Scandinavian Cup. Svan made her debut in the cross-country skiing world cup in March 2013 over 10 km classic in Lahti , where she finished 47th. In December 2013 she achieved her first podium finish at the Scandinavian Cup in Vuokatti with second place over 10 km classic and fifth over 10 km freestyle. Svan then started the Tour de Ski 2013/14 , which she finished in 41st.

Svan is the daughter of the four-time cross-country Olympic champion and former overall World Cup winner Gunde Svan .
