Juliane Auguste Henriette von Winterfeldt (* 1710 in Vanselow ; † December 14, 1790 in Heiligengrabe ) was domina from 1740 to 1790 and from 1742 abbess of the Protestant women's monastery Stift zum Heiligengrabe , Brandenburg.

Life

Juliane Auguste Henriette von Winterfeldt was born as the third of six children in Vanselow. Her parents were Georg Friederich von Winterfeldt (1680–1720) and Elisabeth Christine, née von Maltzahn (1682–1747), who worked as chief steward for Sophie Dorothea Marie von Prussia , a sister of Frederick the Great .

The date of Juliane Auguste Henriette von Winterfeldt's entry into the monastery is not known. In 1740, however, Friedrich Wilhelm I appointed her domina and thus head of the monastery, despite a different election by the convent . Friedrich II raised the monastery to a women's monastery in 1742; the dominatrix thus regained the dignity of an abbess. She attached great importance to a good relationship with the royal court. Under her leadership, the monastery grew again and the monastery library was expanded considerably. Juliane Auguste Henriette von Winterfeldt died in 1790. In the choir of the collegiate church is one in her honor epitaph attached.
