Juliane Wetzel

Juliane Wetzel (* 1957 in Munich ) is a German historian . Wetzel has worked at the Berlin Center for Research on Antisemitism at the TU Berlin since 1991 . She has published several books and numerous essays on contemporary history, German-Jewish history and displaced persons .

Life

Wetzel received his doctorate in history and art history at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich in 1987 and then worked at the Institute for Contemporary History in Munich until 1991 . From 1991 to 1995 she was a research assistant and since 1996 research assistant at the Center for Research on Antisemitism at the TU Berlin. She is the managing editor of the Yearbook for Research on Antisemitism and a member of the Task Force for International Cooperation on Holocaust Education, Remembrance and Research . She also wrote numerous reports for social courts and the Federal Insurance Agency on displaced persons and their status in Germany, as well as several reports on current restitution proceedings for Jewish property.
