Julie Van Zandt

Julie Ann Van Zandt (* 27. June 1929 in San Diego , California as Julie Ann Van Zandt ; † 11. January 2018 in Santa Monica , California) was an American actress .

Life

Van Zandt first appeared as a singer in stage musicals in California, and Billboard Magazine described her voice as "limited but pleasant". She was best known for the film musical The Best things in Life Are Free and appearances in numerous television series .

From 1951 to 1957 Van Zandt was married to the screenwriter and director Richard L. Bare , with whom she has two children. The marriage was divorced, as was the one with Robert H. Rains (1958-1959). Von Zandt lived with Frederick Clemens May in Malibu (California) and was married to him from 1966 until his death in 1993.

Van Zandt later also devoted himself to painting. In the Malibu Lagoon Museum you can see pictures and murals she made .
