Julien Hébert

Julien Hébert (born August 19, 1917 in Rigaud , Quebec, † May 24, 1994 in Montreal ) was a Franco-Canadian industrial designer .

Hébert first studied philosophy and later moved to the École des beaux-arts de Montréal to devote himself to sculpture. In 1947 he continued his training with Ossip Zadkine .

He later taught art history and sculpture at the École des beaux-arts and taught planning and design at the École du meuble .

He advised on the establishment of the École du design industriel at the University of Montreal . He created the logo for the world exhibition Expo 67 . He designed the Canadian pavilion for Expo 70 .
