Julieta de Jesus Panau

Julieta de Jesus Panau (born May 8, 1961 in Caileleti, Samaliu, Loi-Huno , Portuguese Timor ) is a former East Timorese independence activist.

Jesus Panau was a supporter of the resistance during the Indonesian occupation. In June 1991 she hid Mau Hodu , one of the leading men of the Forças Armadas de Libertação Nacional de Timor-Leste (FALINTIL), for two weeks in her house in Aldeia Siralari ( Suco Caraubalo ). In 2016 she was awarded the Medal des Ordem de Timor-Leste for her services .
