Julije Drohobeczky

Julije Drohobeczky (born January 13, 1853 in Tiszakarácsonyfalva , Máramaros County , today Crăciuneşti, Maramureş County , Romania ; † February 11, 1934 in Križevci , Yugoslavia , now Croatia ) was bishop of the Greek Catholic Diocese of Križevci .

Life

Julije Drohobeczky was ordained a deacon on March 24, 1881 and a priest three days later .

With the imperial decree of Franz Joseph I , he was appointed Bishop of Kreutz on October 19, 1891. This appointment was confirmed by Pope Leo XIII. on December 17, 1891. He resigned his episcopate on May 18, 1917, at the same time he was appointed titular bishop of Polybotus .

Julije Drohobeczky died at the age of 81 in the diocese of Križevci.
