Julio César Algarín (born April 29, 1969 in Oaxaca de Juarez , Oaxaca ) is a retired Mexican football player on the position of defender .

Algarín completed a total of 52 appearances in the Mexican Primera División from 1989 to 1997 ; 37 of them in the dress of Puebla FC , with whom he won both the championship and the cup competition in the 1989/90 season and the CONCACAF Champions' Cup a year later , and the other 15 for Santos Laguna .
