Julio Mozzo , full name Julio Fabián Mozzo Valdéz , (born April 20, 1981 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

society

At the beginning of his career, the 1.84-meter-tall midfielder Mozzo belonged to the Central Español team from 2000 to the end of 2006 , for which he played 20 games in the 2004 season and 16 in the 2005/06 and 2006/07 seasons (two goals ) and 14 (three goals) games of the Primera División . Then Mozzo was active at Club Atlético Peñarol until the end of 2009 , for which he completed 48 games in the top Uruguayan league across all seasons, scoring six goals. He was also used twice (no goal) in the 2009 Copa Libertadores . In the first half of 2010 he was in the ranks of the Greek club Anagennisi Karditsa . From July 2010 Mozzo played for Independiente Rivadavia for a year . With the Argentines he was used in 31 league encounters and scored four goals. This was followed by a career station at Rosario Central . In the 2011/12 season he played 28 league games (no goal) and two clashes (one goal) of the Copa Argentina there . At the end of July 2013, he moved to Atlético Tucumán . At the club from San Miguel de Tucumán he played in eleven games (no goal) in the Primera B Nacional . Douglas Haig signed him in January 2014 . In the team of the Pergamino- based club, he scored three times in 21 league appearances in the opposing goal. From July 2014 he continued his career at CA Talleres , for which he completed 16 games (one goal) in the Torneo Argentino A and two national cup games (one goal). In January 2015 he started working for Ferro Carril Oeste until mid-February 2016 . There are 36 appearances (one goal) in the Primera B Nacional and two (no goal) in the Copa Argentina. This was followed by a move within Argentina to Club Atlético Fénix . In his team, Mozzo was used in 16 games of the Primera B Metropolitana and was able to show a personal goal. Club Atlético Platense has been his employer since mid-July 2016 . So far (as of July 16, 2017) he has played 22 league games there (no goal).

National team

Mozzo made his debut on February 4, 2003 when he won 4: 2 on penalties (1: 1) against the Iranian selection in the context of the Carlsberg Cup under coach Gustavo Ferrín in the Uruguayan senior team when he was in the 80th minute for captain Martín Ligüera was substituted on. In 2007 he was used again by national coach Óscar Tabárez in the "Celeste" in the two international matches against Colombia (February 7, 2007) and South Africa (September 12, 2007) . He did not manage to score an international goal. There were also no further international assignments.
