Julius E. Herrmann
Julius Emil Herrmann (* 13. June 1883 in Dresden , † after 1944) was a German actor of stage and film and theater director .
Live and act
Julius Emil Herrmann began his stage career shortly after the turn of the century and appeared successively at the following stages (selection): Thalia-Theater Berlin, Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, Lessingtheater and Deutsches Künstlertheater (from here also regularly stage director) Berlin, Barnowsky-Bühnen Berlin, Altonaer Stadttheater, United Städtische Theater Kiel and Berlin's Theater am Nollendorfplatz, his last stage position with a permanent engagement, where he sat on the board in 1942. At the end of the war in 1945, he can no longer be traced as an actor, neither in theater nor in film. The death year 1977 given on filmportal.de and IMDb must therefore be seriously doubted, especially since it is not documented. It seems more likely that Herrmann did not survive the end of the war or died shortly afterwards.
Herrmann was also seen on the screen at an early stage. Since the Dresden resident was primarily involved in Berlin for a long time at the beginning of the 1920s, after his role in Fritz Lang's masterpiece Dr. Mabuse, the player in an abundance of artistically largely insignificant film productions - with the exception of Lang's Frau im Mond - with. The plump artist was seen, among other things, as a landlord, bank director, jury member at court, teacher, businessman, councilor and music director.
