Julius Iversen
Julius Gottlieb Iversen ( Russian Юлиус Готлиб Иверсен ; born April 5, 1823 in Reval , Estonia Governorate ; † April 13, 1900 in St. Petersburg , Russian Empire ) was a Baltic German phalerist .
Life
From 1842 to 1847 he was a student at the University of Dorpat . From 1855 to 1880 he was a teacher of ancient languages at the St. Petri School in St. Petersburg. From 1879 he was also the curator of the Hermitage Coin Cabinet, 1887 WStRat.
He was considered one of the best connoisseurs of Russian historical medals.
