During the First World War , Rosemann left the SPD to join the Independent Social Democratic Party of Germany (USPD). From June 1920 to May 1924 he sat for them as a member of the first Reichstag of the Weimar Republic , in which he represented constituency 25 (Düsseldorf-Ost).
