Julius Sabatauskas

Julius Sabatauskas (born April 1, 1958 in Syktywkar , Komi Republic ) is a Lithuanian social democratic politician , member of the Seimas and former sports official.

Life

After graduating from high school in Jonava from 1968 to 1976, he graduated from the Politechnikos institutas in Kaunas in 1981 with a diploma in control of automated systems . From 2002 to 2003 he completed a master’s degree ( law and administration) at Lietuvos teisės universitetas in Vilnius . From 1990 to 2003 he was a member of the council of the municipality of Alytus . He has been a member of the Seimas since 2000 .

From 1989 Julius Sabatauskas has been a member of Lietuvos socialdemokratų partija . From 2015 he was deputy party chairman of the LSDP , deputy of Algirdas Butkevičius .

From 2002 to 2005 he was President of the Chess Federation of Lithuania.
