Jumeirah ( Arabic جميرا Dschumaira , DMG Ǧumairā ) is a district in Dubai , United Arab Emirates . Its largest extension stretches from the west pier of the city port of Port Rashid about 25 kilometers to the high-rise cluster Dubai Marina in the southwest. Its depth is mostly limited to the south by Sheikh Zayed Road , but it can also reach further inland because "Jumeirah" is used for advertising purposes in the real estate business. Its prominent tourist side is the almost dead straight "Jumeirah Beach".

Jumeirah is now one of the most expensive residential areas in Dubai. Up until a few decades ago only a few local fishermen, immigrant workers and small traders lived here; today the huge area consists largely of spacious villas, high-quality free trade and service zones and tourist facilities.

Many luxury hotels have been built near the beach in recent years, including the Burj al Arab and the wavy Jumeirah Beach Hotel . There is also the Wild Wadi Water Park amusement park and the extensive Madinat Jumeirah hotel and business center . Many villa plots and a marina can also be found here. The first artificial island "Palm Jumeirah" of the Palm Islands was built in 2001-2008 off the coast of Jumeirah . At the southwestern end of Jumeirah Beach is the high-rise Dubai Marina , further inland the skyscraper chain of the Jumeirah Lake Towers and adjoining it the Jumeirah Islands residential complex .
