Jumpman (logo)
The "Jumpman" is a logo of Jordan (company). With him are Michael Jordan - Merchandise products marketed, including the famous and financially successful basketball shoes of the brand Air Jordan .
The Jumpman logo is a silhouette of a photo taken in a studio with Michael Jordan doing a dunk . However, he did not actually dimmed during the recordings, but just jumped up and spread his legs. This picture was enclosed with the Air Jordan I to increase sales and quickly became known.
The Air Jordan III, launched in 1988, was the first Air Jordan shoe to feature the Jumpman logo, which also replaced the old "Wings" logo that was still on the Air Jordan I and Air Jordan II appeared. The new logo was intended to remind of the Slam Dunk title, which Michael Jordan won for the first time in 1988.
In the Air Jordan line, the Jumpman logo appears consistently on all models, with the exception of the Air Jordan VIII, on which it has been replaced with a peace symbol.
In 1994 and 1995, Nike and Warner Brothers Bugs Bunny produced a series of commercials starring Michael Jordan. In connection with the parody of the Jumpman logo, Nike marketed some merchandise items, on which the silhouette of Bugs Bunny could be seen, combined with the words "Hare Jordan" - a corruption of the terms 'air' and 'hare' - English for rabbit .
