Jun Marques Davidson ( Japanese デ ィ ビ ッ ド ソ ン 純 マ ー カ ス , Deibiddoson Jun Mākasu ; born June 7, 1983 in Tokyo Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player who plays in midfield.

Career

youth

Davidson is the son of American parents but was born in Japan. After spending the first few years of his life there, he and his family moved to Pasadena, California . There he attended the American Global Soccer School.

Beginning in Japan

In 2002 he went back to Japan and played with Ōmiya Ardija . After three seasons in the J. League Division 2, he was promoted to the J. League Division 1 in 2006 with the team .

In 2007 he moved to Albirex Niigata . Most of the time he was loaned to other teams there. In 2007 he played for Vissel Kobe and in 2008 for Consadole Sapporo .

Return to the USA

In February 2009 he returned to the USA. At the Carolina RailHawks he became one of the top performers and made it to the finals of the USSF Division 2 Professional League with the team .

For the 2011 season he returned to Japan and played Tokushima Vortis in the country's second division.

On January 18, he moved to the Vancouver Whitecaps . After 50 games in Major League Soccer, he moved again to the Carolina RailHawks in 2013.
