June Island is an island in Marguerite Bay off the Fallières coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . In the group of the Debenham Islands , it is immediately southwest of Audrey Island .
Participants in the British Graham Land Expedition (1934–1937) led by the Australian polar explorer John Rymill discovered them. Rymill named her after June Debenham (* 1924, later married Back), daughter of polar explorer Frank Debenham , who was a member of the advisory board for the research trip.
