The Jungfraubahn Holding AG (JBH) is a Swiss public limited company whose purpose is the investment in transport and tourism companies and related transactions (power stations, car parks, travel agencies, restaurants). The current structure was created in 1994 as a result of the merger between the Jungfrau Railway and the Wengernalp Railway .
Companies
The share capital of Jungfraubahn Holding consists of 5,835,000 shares with a nominal value of CHF 2.00. These are listed on the Swiss stock exchange SIX Swiss Exchange and on the Berne stock exchange Berne eXchange listed .
Major shareholders are Berner Kantonalbank (13.9%), BKW-FMB Beteiligungen AG , Bern (10.3%), Gebäudeversicherung Bern (7.4%) and Montalto Holding AG, Zug (3.1%) . Another 6.8% are owned by Jungfraubahn Holding, the remaining shares are in free float . In 2009, the company achieved a consolidated operating income of CHF 134.3 million with around 500 employees, of which 102 million came from traffic revenue and 8 million from public payments for year-round traffic in Wengen and Mürren .
