Juniper Green is a suburb of Edinburgh , the capital of Scotland . The suburb is nine kilometers southwest of the capital. Juniper Green is bounded by Colinton to the east and Currie to the southwest . Juniper Green falls within the administrative area of the City of Edinburgh.
history
The earliest ecclesiastical mention of Juniper Green was in 1707. Juniper Greens' largest industry was paper and snuff. In 2007 the city celebrated its 300th anniversary. On the occasion of the celebrations, a series of photos was taken over the suburb to remind of the history of the city. It was later published on the site's homepage.
Today Juniper Green is mostly made up of apartments. In addition, the suburb has several shops that offer various foods, as well as a restaurant.
