Edinburgh Pentlands is a constituency for the Scottish Parliament . It was founded in 1999 as one of nine constituencies of the election region Lothians introduced, as part of the revision of constituencies again cut in 2011 and in Lothian has been renamed. The boundaries of the constituency of Edinburgh Pentlands were redrawn. The constituency includes the south-west areas of Edinburgh and sends one MP.

The constituency covers an area of ​​100.4 km 2 . In the 2011 census survey, a total of 73,177 people lived within its borders.
